A leading retailer wanted to launch a range of retro-inspired soft drinks, evoking nostalgic summer memories while being fun, flavourful, and HFSS-compliant. The drinks needed to deliver bold, classic flavours without any artificial sweeteners or flavours, appealing to both younger consumers and those reminiscing about the past.
What We Did:
We developed three authentic retro sodas, Cream Soda, Dandelion & Burdock, and Cherryade, using only natural ingredients, ensuring full flavour without compromise. Our R&D team recreated the depth, sweetness, and mouthfeel of traditional sodas through natural flavour encapsulation and precision blending. The range was launched under a disruptive new sub-brand, featuring eye-catching packaging that captured the spirit of retro cool.
The Outcome:
The launch was a major success, with the range achieving over 20 units per store per week. Consumers loved the authentic taste and nostalgic appeal, proving that sugar-free, HFSS-compliant soft drinks can still deliver on flavour.
